About Rouven Leuener


Rouven Leuener, Head of Product Development at Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Switzerland’s oldest newspaper, was born in 1980. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Communication Science from the University of Zurich and is currently pursuing a Business Masters in Digital Media Management and Innovation at Hyper Island, London.
Following his initial studies, he founded and managed the startup Studentlab Ltd. that offered web and mobile services. With his expertise and experience Rouven Leuener has brought to life more than ten digital products over the five years while working for media companies.


In 2012, he was appointed as Member of the Board at the Swiss Mobile Association (smama), in 2014 as Member of the Board at Studentlab Ltd.
Since 2017 he is Co-Founder and CEO of the startup "Cutting Through the Noise" which aims to create a digital product every year.
